ABOUT PRL TRAINING LTD

Skills for Logistics (the Logistics Sector Skills Council) undertook an extensive market research programme that showed nationally there are some 60,000-driver vacancies advertised in Government Jobcentres.

Accreditations have been granted by Skills for Logistics who is the Sector Skills Council for the Logistics Industry and who approve Training Organisations for the delivery of their qualifications, City & Guilds who have accredited us to deliver NVQs, Key Skills and other qualifications, National Plant and RTITB who have accredited us for Forklift-truck and other Plant Licences, CIEH who have accredited us for a number of Health & Safety qualifications.

Alliances have been formed with NEWI University, Yale College, Wrexham ITec, Skills for Logistics and ourselves. This alliance has the capability to deliver Degrees, Further Education courses, Information Technology courses, National Vocational Qualifications in all Logistic subjects, the Young Driver Scheme and  Modern Apprenticeships. (Please note Wales has a policy of all age learning and therefore age limits applicable in England do not apply in Wales).

With all the new EC Directives aimed at the Logistics Industry:- Digital Tachographs, Drivers CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) Working Time Directive, Compulsory Training, millions of pounds must be spent on training our drivers so they become more professional. Training courses must be approved if they are to count towards driver’s compulsory training legislation.
